(SWE) SHL

SHL - In yesterday's Champions Hockey League game between HV71 and JYP Jyväskylä (0-3), Kevin Fiala suited up for the Swedes for the first time since his return from Nashville - and was sent to the locker room in the third period.

With 5:48 into the third period, when HV71 was already trailing 0-3 against the Finnish team JYP, the Swiss forward Kevin Fiala took a minor penalty for slashing and another 2-minute-penalty for abusing an official - all in all a four-minute penalty that enraged HV71 coach Andreas Johansson.

After the 18-year-old had served his time in the sin bin, he was sent directly to the locker room by Johansson. "He took unnecessary penalties," the coach explains his measure to Aftonbladet. "I want him to be creative, but he also has to play for the team. I wanted to show the team that this kind of behaviour is not okay." Especially the minor penalty for abusing an official did not please Johansson, as "the SHL has a zero tolerance policy on those things".
