Former HCAP defenseman Ryan O'Byrne signs with HV71 in Sweden

Swedish team HV71 has today announced the signing of former HC Ambrì-Piotta defenseman Ryan O'Byrne, who has agreed to a two-year deal with the club from the Swedish Hockey League (SHL).

O'Byrne's expiring contract with the Biancoblù was not extended by the club this summer. The 31-year-old defensman played 18 games in his first and last season for Ambrì, scoring one goal and two assists. (lcu)
