McGrath, who also played one playoff game on loan for HC Davos this year, would have had a contract with Hockey Thurgau until 2018. But as the club has to save money, they dissolved the contract by mutual agreement. The 30-year-old now joins the Villacher SV.

For Hockey Thurgau, the Canadian forward scored 36 points (eleven goals, 25 assist) in 35 games last season. (tme)
