Bischofberger, who has a Swiss player-license, spent part of his junior career in Switzerland. In 2014, he joined Hockey Thurgau. In March, however, the Lions announced that the 21-year-old Austrian would leave the team after having played there for two consecutive seasons.

Bischofberger played 72 games in the NLB for HCT and managed to score a total of 28 points (16 goals and two assists). (bsc)
