After Roman Josi’s season ended last week, there are no more Swiss players involved in the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Still, we provide you with a short wrap-up about the ongoing Conference Finals.

Western Conference

St. Louis Blues (2) – San Jose Sharks (3)

After the Blues decided game one with a final score of 2-1, the Sharks answered with two wins of their own in which they shut out their opponents twice. San Jose’s goaltender Martin Jones stayed perfect and made 48 saves over the two games. Game four then did not go so well for Jones and the Sharks. After the Blues took a 4-0 lead midway through the game, San Jose pulled their goaltender. Jones was replaced by his backup James Reimer. At the end, the Blues won with a final score of 6-3 to even the series 2-2.

Series tied 2-2

Eastern Conference

Tampa Bay Lightning (2) – Pittsburgh Penguins (2)

The Bolts won game one but lost goaltender Ben Bishop to injury. He injured his leg on a save attempt and then had to leave on a stretcher. Games two and three then went to the Penguins. It was Sidney Crosby who scored the game-winning goal in both meetings. In game four, the Lightning built a 4-0 lead until the end of the second period. The Penguins then scored three unanswered goals in the third to make things close again. But the Lightning hold on to the pressure and won the game to tie the Conference Final in the East.

Series tied 2-2
