As the general manager of the Remparts de Québec Philippe Boucher tells the Journal de Québec, Auguste Impose will not be part of the QMJHL team in the 2016-17 season. They want to go into a different direction.

"We offered the services of Auguste to all the clubs in the league, but none has shown interest. So we thus have released him from his contractual obligations", said the GM/head coach, who will now look to draft two European players at the upcoming CHL Import Draft.

As was previously rumored, SC Bern's Nico Hischier might be one of the players targeted by the team. Impose's future, on the other hand, is not yet clear. In a email exchange with the news outlet, the young forward made clear that he does not yet know anything concrete regarding the upcoming season. (mso)
