Not long ago, Reto Suri signed a 2-year two-way-contract with the Tampa Bay Lightning starting in 2014/2015. Now there is talk that this recently-signed contract has been voided because he couldn't get out of his contract with EV Zug and because of a missing transfer agreement of the SIHF and the IIHF.
Suri's contract with EV Zug is still running until 2015 - and the NHL does not accept conflicting contracts. The question remains: Why did Tampa sign this contract in the first place, when they knew that Suri is under contract with EVZ until 2015?
Thanks to @CSCMirio for the hint.
The new #TBLightning Reto Suri contract has been voided. He couldn't get out of his Swiss contract, & no Swiss Fed./IIHF transfer agreement.
