Medical Report

MEDICAL REPORT - HC Lugano not only had to deal with their 2-1 loss against HC Davos, but they also lost their best scorer Fredrik Petterson to an injury last night.

As the Corriere del Ticino reports, the 27-year-old forward had to leave the game in the 50th minute after a duel along the boards with HCD's Samuel Guerra.

The Swede apparently twisted his leg in the incident and was not able to put weight on it, once he returned to the locker room. He did not finish the game, but the severity of the injury is not yet known.

UPDATE As HC Lugano informs, Pettersson might already be available again to the team next weekend. His injured left knee will be closely monitored over course of the week and if necessary the Swede will consult a specialist. - 21 September 2014, 3:32 PM
