Medical Report

MEDICAL REPORT - HC Lugano has currently a lot of injured players on their roster. On Saturday, there was another player added to that list: Marco Maurer.

The 26-year-old defenseman left the game against Genève-Servette HC in the twelth minute of play and did not return to the ice due to an injured knee. As Ticinonline reports, he will undergo further medical examinations to determine the exact nature of his injury.

Furthermore, Luca Fazzini, who broke his nose in practice last week, will miss the game against SC Bern tomorrow, as he will undergo surgery for his injury. However, Matteo Romanenghi will return to lineup and suit up against the Bears. Raffaele Sannitz, who is dealing with the aftermath of a hit he received in the game against Lausanne HC, should also be able to hit the ice on Tuesday.

Stefan Ulmer (upper body) was back on the ice today, but is not yet ready to return. The same applies to Sébastien Reuille (adductor problems) and Brady Murray (forearm injury).

UPDATE HC Lugano announces that the MRI Marco Maurer underwent this afternoon shows that he injured the collateral ligament in his left knee. Thus, he will be out of the lineup for three to four weeks. - 20 October 2014, 07:29 PM
