Genève-Servette HC and HC Fribourg-Gottéron seem to look into signing the 24-year-old netminder. However, the Swiss is still under contract with the Hamilton Bulldogs in the American Hockey League until the end of next season.
Furthermore, when rumors first surfaced at the end of December about Mayer possibly joining GSHC, the netminder made it clear that he intended to honor his contract with the Bulldogs. We will see in the next few weeks, if he has changed his mind about this matter.
