It is not the first time that rumors are swirling around a possible contract for Genoni in Kloten. The Flyers want to secure their future and find a successor for starting goaltender Martin Gerber, whose contract expires next summer and given his age (39) might retire in 2015.
As for Genoni, he has still a valid contract with HC Davos until the end of next season, so that might work out perfectly for the Flyers, if they indeed have already signed the 27-year-old.
The goaltender has spent his entire National League A career with HC Davos, playing over 350 games for them in the last five seasons.
