RUMOR - Just before the Spengler Cup, foward Juraj Simek left Genève-Servette HC and signed with the Finnish team TPS Turku until the end of the season. But apparently, Turku is not Simek's desired destination, rather a temporary solution.

As journalist Klaus Zaugg reports in today's edition of the Neue Luzerner Zeitung, a deal with HC Lugano had already been set up. But then, HCL's team manager Roland Habisreutinger decided to sign Damien Brunner instead and Juraj Simek had to move on - to TPS Turku in the Finnish Liiga.

In Finland, the 27-year-old only signed a contract until the end of the current season. After that, as Zaugg writes, nothing stands in the way for a return to Switzerland. However, there would have to be a team who pays him as much money as he earned in Geneva - CHF 400,000, according to Zaugg.
