Rumor

RUMOR - As the Giornale del Popolo suggests in a tweet, GSHC's Timothy Kast (photo) and ZSC's Mark Bastl could both be on their way to HC Ambrì-Piotta for the upcoming season, also Thibaut Monnet is still an option.

As Serge Pelletier confirms to Gironale del popolo jounalist Petro Filippini: "We are in negotiations with Monnet, Kast and Bastl. But not all three will be coming."

Timothy Kast, 26, returned to his junior team GSHC last year form HC La Chaux-de-Fonds in the NLB and appeared in 60 games for the Eagles this season, scoring six goals and 15 assists.

The 34-year-old Mark Bastl is in his eighth season with the ZSC Lions and could celebrate three wins of the Swiss Championship (2008, 2012, 2014) as well as the Champions Hockey League in the 2008-09 season with the team from Zurich. (lcu)

UPDATE Contrary to earlier rumors, it looks as if Timothy Kast is staying with Genève-Servette HC after all. As Patrick Andrey (Yes FM) reports on Twitter GSHC should soon be announcing the extension of Timothy Kast's and Chris Rivera's contracts. - 30 March 2015, 11:52 AM
