Apparently, there are rumors around, which suggest that there is a chance that Diaz might join HC Lugano sometime during the regular season, if his return to New York does not prove to be as successful as hoped. However, Diaz would technically still have a valid contract with EV Zug until the end of the 2015-16 season, if he were to return to Switzerland.
