Apparently, the 28-year-old forward does no longer feature in the plans of head coach Chris McSorley after Rivera and him got into a "huge fight in a practice session". As the same source further reports, Rivera might be moved to HC Fribourg-Gottéron in exchange for another player.
Chris Rivera signed a two-year extension with the Grenats at the beginning of May and had been sidelined due to a severe concussion until mid-August, when he was finally able to take up training again. Last season, Rivera scored seven goals, eight assists in 50 games for the Eagles. (mso)
