Rumor

Because Marco Bührer (photo) will miss the rest of the season due to injury, SC Bern currently has only one healthy netminder on their roster: Janick Schwendener. Now, they are reportedly looking for another goalie.

According to a report from 20 Minutes, SC Bern has already called Geneva's Chris McSorley in that matter. The Grenats currently have three goaltenders on their roster who all are able to play in the NLA: Robert Mayer, Gauthier Descloux, and Christophe Bays.

Although Chris McSorley does not confirm that SC Bern has approached him, he explains that he is not able to help them at the moment: "Bays should have been back from injury in August. But he's still not ready."

As it does not seem easy to find a replacement for Bührer in Switzerland, SC Bern might have to consider signing an import-goalie. Problem here: Of their eight import-licenses, they have only two left. (tme)
