According to Fribourg's team manager Christian Dubé, the club just recently signed Caryl Neuenschwander and Chris Rivera and thus would have three very similar players on their roster for the upcoming season. Therefore, Dubé wants to wait and see if he can offer a new contract to Vauclair.

Accordingly, Vauclair and his agent have already started to look for other options. As Vauclair tells the same source, he has already talked to one or two clubs. He wants to wait for a couple of weeks though, before he makes a decision.

Vauclair joined Fribourg in summer of 2011 and has since then appeared in 246 games for the Dragons. The 30-year-old forward signed his current contract in fall of 2012. (bsc)
