As Marco Maffioletti (La Regione) reports, Matteo Romanenghi will probably stay in Lugano. Ryan Gardner (photo), on the other hand, might hang up his skates.

The 21-year-old Romanenghi made his NLA-debut for HC Lugano in the 2013-14 season. In 2014 the young forward signed a three-year contract which is running out at the end of the current season. According to Maffioletti, he will probably extend his stay in Lugano.

Ryan Gardner, according to the same source, will probably end his hockey career at the end of the season. At that point, he will be 39 years old. The native of Canada and former Swiss international has played in Switzerland since 1997 when he joined HC Ambrì-Piotta. Since then he suited up for HC Lugano, the ZSC Lions, SC Bern, and HC Fribourg-Gottéron.
