Mark Arcobello, SC Bern's American forward and leading scorer of the National League A (55 points in 50 games), has been voted "Most Valuable Player" as well as "Best Forward" of the 2016-17 regular season. After Martin Plüss in 2014-15, Arcobello is just the second SCB-player to receive these MVP-honors.

In another category, a player of SC Bern came out on top, too: Leonardo Genoni (18 votes) has been elected "Best Goaltender". Lausanne HC's Swede Jonas Junland, on the other hand, was voted "Best Defenseman", seven votes ahead of EVZ's Raphael Diaz.

The award as "Coach of the Year" this term goes to Lausanne HC's head coach Dan Ratushny, who was not only able to transform the defensive system into a offensive one, but also led the team successfully into the 2016-17 NLA playoffs with it.

Last but not least, EHC Biel's forward Julian Schmutz has been voted "Newcomer of the Year". In his very first complete season in Switzerland's highest league, the 23-year-old has suited up in 48 NLA games for the Seelanders, scoring 15 goals and 14 assists.

All-Star Team: Leonardo Genoni (SC Bern), Jonas Junland (Lausanne HC), Raphael Diaz (EV Zug), Robert Nilsson (ZSC Lions), Mark Arcobello (SC Bern), Drew Shore (EHC Kloten).

CH All-Star Team: Leonardo Genoni (SC Bern), Raphael Diaz (EV Zug), Patrick Geering (ZSC Lions), Lino Martschini (EV Zug), Denis Hollenstein (EHC Kloten), Julien Sprunger (HC Fribourg-Gottéron).
