HC Lugano signs Finnish forward Jani Lajunen

In early April, RSI reported that HC Lugano was interested in signing the 26-year-old center. Last Friday, the same source then wrote that Lajunen had signed with the Bianconeri. However, the player himself emphasized in an interview with La Regione that he had indeed been talking to Lugano's management but not signed a contract yet. Now, he has apparently found an agreement with the Bianconeri and inked a one-year deal.

In the past two seasons, Lajunen played for Tappara Tampere of the Finnish Liiga. Last season, he appeared in 77 games, scoring 16 goals and 28 assists.
