According to HeShootsHeScoores, HC Ambrì-Piotta's forward Cory Emmerton could stay with the Biancoblù for another season. However, team manager Paolo Duca says that they have no contract with a single import player as of now.

The 29-year-old Canadian center joined HC Ambrì-Piotta from the KHL club HK Sochi in 2015. During his two seasons in the National League A, Emmerton was able to put up 87 points ( 34 goals and 53 assists) in 117 games.

His contract with the Biancoblù would expire this spring. Now, it seems possible that Emmerton might stay in Ambrì as he is close to an agreement with the club.

However, team manager Paolo Duca tells RSI later this day that they have not yet signed an import player: "We do not have any import player under contract at the moment." Furthermore, Duca states that he is still on the look for a new assistant coach.

In addition, since former HCB Ticino Rockets Coach Luca Cereda serves as the Biancoblù's head coach as of next season, Duca has to find a new head coach for the Rockets as well.
