Rumor

As the Tribune de Genève reports, Genève-Servette HC is looking for a replacement for Mike Santorelli, who decided to leave the club. Chris McSorley confirmed to the same source that his contract had been dissolved.

According to the newspaper, Nathan Gerbe (photo) could in fact still play for the Grenats this season. Gerbe signed a contract with GSHC this summer, which was automatically dissolved when he joined the New York Ranger in July. However, outside of the NHL, Gerbe still has a valid contract with Geneva. If he were allowed to leave the Rangers, he could join them.

In addition, the Tribune de Genève further reports that Josh Jooris, who also just joined the New York Rangers, could sign with Geneva for the upcoming season. The 26-year-old forward and son of former GSHC player Mark Jooris has already played 128 NHL games, scoring 16 goals and 21 assists. Jooris has a Swiss license.
