According to the Neue Zürcher Zeitung, Infront-Ringier may have sold the television rights for the Swiss Ice Hockey Club to Teleclub. However, some National League teams do not seem to approve this.

Just this summer, the League announced that they had sold the marketing rights for the National League to UPC Cablecom. The former deal with Teleclub was not extended. Therefore, potentially giving the rights concerning the Cup to Teleclub did not resonate with some of the teams as they fear this might upset their new main broadcasting partner.

On November 16, the NLA and NLB teams can decide on this matter. If they do not agree with this deal, this will likely be the end of the Cup. Infront-Ringier has a contractual agreement that no other institution may organize the Cup within the next five years.
