The news about Garrett Roe's signing with Linköping HC yesterday caused some confusion among fans and journalists alike. Now, an interview with the Swedish newspaper Expressen sheds some light on the situation.

As Roe says to the Expressen, he did not agree with the rotating system that Genève-Servette's coach Chris McSorley was envisioning for the import-players: "They have so many games in the league, the CHL, and the Swiss Cup so they wanted five import-players and rotate," Roe explains. "I wanted to play every game."

However, him leaving the Grenats seems to have been a mutual decision: "I have nothing bad to say about them, they were very honest and allowed me to look for something else," Roe continues. "It all went very quickly and within one or two days I ended up here [in Linköping]. I'm happy." (tme)
