Medical Report

According to La Regione, HC Ambrì-Piotta's goalie Gauthier Descloux might have sustained a concussion in yesterday's Game 2 of the playout finals. As the club announced later the day, Descloux is suffering from an "upper-body" injury and will be day-to-day.

The 20-year-old took a hit from HCFG's Nelson Chiquet in the third period, however, continued playing until the 55th minute, when he was finally replaced by Zurkirchen (after Fribourg's sixth goal). After the game he then had to be brought to the hospital, as he felt concussion-like symptoms.

As it is quite common during the post season, the club has not given any further details on the nature of Descloux's injury, but is officially speaking of "upper-body" and "day-to-day". Howsoever, if Descloux should indeed suffer from a concussion, the season might likely be over for the netminder.

According to Omar Meshale (RSI), Descloux and Adrien Lauper did not take part in today's on-ice practice. Lauper, however, seems to suffer only from a minor ankle injury and thus might be good to go for Game 3 on Saturday.
