NLA - Genève-Servette HC has announced the signings of netminder Christophe Bays and forward Tim Traber. Bays has signed a contract for the next two years until the end of the 2015/16 season, while Traber has a one-year deal with an option for an extension.

Christophe Bays spent all his junior years with Lausanne HC and has been part of LHC’s professional team since 2010. There, he has mostly dressed as backup goaltender, lastly behind starter Cristobal Huet. Now, the 23-year-old will form GSHC’s goaltender duo together with Melvin Nyffeler.

Additionally, GSHC confirms the signing of Canadian-Swiss Tim Traber out of the WHL. The 21-year-old has registered 23 points and 162 penalty minutes in 64 appearances with the Vancouver Giants during last season. Overall, the youngster has been in a total of 60 fights in 279 games in his time in the Canadian junior league.
