The presentation was launched with a speech by President Filippo Lombardi, who told the fans that the goal for the upcoming season was to further improve. Moreover, he also informed about the situation of the new Valascia, confirming that the planning will begin in October and the new arena is going to be ready in 2018.

After the presentation of the youth sector, it was time for the NLA team. Coaches, staff and players – including the new signings Michael Flückiger, Jesse Zgraggen, Alain Birbaum, Ryan O’Byrne, Christian Stucki, Alex Dostoinov, Adrien Lauper, Jason Fuchs, and Keith Aucoin – were introduced to the public. To these must be added the long-awaited fourth import-player Adam Hall, 33, who has had a long career in the NHL.

Among the most celebrated players by the large audience who gathered in the Leventina, was Inti Pestoni, the idol of the fans who also sang “La Montanara”, and last season’s top scorer Alexandre Giroux. To entertain the crowds during the evening, Ambrì-Piotta presented Sebalter, the representative of Switzerland at the last Eurovision Song Contest, as their musical guest.
