Schürch had apparently been brought into discussions by the Calgary Flames' new starting goalie Jonas Hiller, who wanted the former netminder as his coach.

But the Calgary Flames have now made their decision and announced Jordan Sigalet as the new goaltending coach on Tuesday. The 33-year-old has spent the past two seasons with the Flames' AHL affiliate Abbotsford Heat in the same capacity.
