NLA - A bit more than a week ago, Simon Moser already said in an interview with SRF that he prepares to stay in Bern. After his injury, it is definite: "North America is off the table for the upcoming season," he says in today's Berner Zeitung.

That the 25-year-old will be out for about two months due to a deep cut in his thigh that he sustained in SC Bern's Champions Hockey League game against Tappara Tampere, is unfortunate: "I was on the right track, this is a damper."

Because of his injury, it is clear that he won't make use of the NHL out-clause, valid until November 15, which he agreed upon with SC Bern. "I'm motivated. I hope for a good season with SCB after my return," the former SCL Tigers captain says. For now, SC Bern does not plan to sign a replacement for Moser.
