After HC Davos ended the season 2012/13 financially well, the result for the past season looks completely different. The reason for the high deficit is, according to HCD, among others the "Strozzi’s & Spengler’s Gastro AG" restaurant in the center of the village that did not work out as well as the club had planned.
The two main reasons, why HC Davos is able to survive in the National League A are the substantial revenues from the Spengler Cup tournament and also the support from their "Kristall Club"-members, who have contributed almost CHF 1.9 million last season.
