NLA - Lausanne HC's team manager Jan Alston is working hard to keep the most important pieces of their team in Lausanne. Thus, he reached out to Juha-Pekka Hytönen, Etienne Froidevaux, and Joël Genazzi with new contract offers.

With all three, money might become a rather important issue during the negotiations. "I would lie if I'd tell you the opposite," the Finnish forward Juha-Pekka Hytönen (photo) tells 24 heures. "I'm 33 years old now and my career won't last forever. A return to Finland, a second experience in the KHL, or with another Swiss team are also options."

Also with Etienne Froidevaux, negotiations won't be easy, as Lausanne is not the only team interested in his services: "Some teams have approached me," Froidevaux confirms to the same source. "But I must say that I'm very happy here. I receive more and more responsibilities. As I see it, that's a very important part, too."

A faint question mark is behind Colby Genoway's future, who will be no more than Lausanne's fifth import-player when he has fully recovered - and that with a salary of about half a million Swiss Francs. Although his contract is still running until 2016, Lausanne might ask him to find a new team, as 24 heures writes.
