NLA - As the Journal de Jura reports, Mathias Joggi has not made use of his out-clause that was valid until November 30 and will thus stay with the Seelanders for the upcoming season.

EHC Biel has currently twelve defensemen under contract, though, according to the same source, they would like to reduce that number to ten. First talks with 20-year-old Benoît Jecker are supposed to start in the next few days and Claudio Cadonau, 26, and Nicholas Steiner, 23, might also have a chance to stay on. However, those negotiations will have to wait until after Christmas.

As for the forward department, the contract talks with Olivier Kamber are still at an impasse, as the 35-year-old still wants a two-year contract, whereas the club would like to sign him to a one-year deal.

Dragan Umicevic's future is also linked to Kamber, because if the negotiations between him and the Seelanders fail, EHC Biel might have to look for an import-player to replace the center, which just might cost the Swede a new contract with them.
