"Criticising people is always easy, you know," HC Fribourg-Gottéron's CEO Raphaël Berger says. "But now we want to give the fans the opportunity to take on more responsibility within the club." The idea is that the fanclubs agree on a delegate who is going to make their voice heard within Gottéron's Board of Directors.

Although the project is limited to the upcoming season, Raphaël Berger is already looking ahead: "If it turns out to be a good experience and we feel that we're getting closer to our fans, we might introduce that system long-term." Already with the signing of the public's favourite Christian Dubé as their new team manager, HCFG aimed at strengthening the connection with their fans. (tme)
