National League

Now that the SCL Tigers have met their goal of returning to the National League A, their president Peter Jakob is already thinking about the next thing, as one can read in the Berner Zeitung: a second ice rink for the Tigers.

"The ideal place would be where the market hall is located", said Jakob during the Tigers' general assembly. However, the land belongs to the association "Oberes Emmental", which consists out of farmers who sell their livestock there.

Since finding a new place to sell their cattle would not easily come by, Jacob is thinking about a compromise that would make everyone happy: "Downstairs they would sell cows, five metres higher we would have our second ice rink."

However, the plans are still in its infancy stages and it all stands and falls with the farmers, who own the market hall, but if they agree to Jakob's plans, the Tigers will work out more concrete plans how the project is going to look like and what it will cost. (mso)
