As team manager Ivano Zanetta confirms to the same source, he even found a new team for the 26-year-old defenseman. HCB Südtirol, an Italian team in the Austrian EBEL, was indeed interested in his services. Chavaillaz, however, did not want to leave Ambrì.
Chavaillaz signed his new contract with Fribourg in mid-November. He is currently in his third season with Ambri and has appeared in 17 games for the Biancoblù this season, scoring three points (one goal, two assists). (bsc)
