National League

In an interview in the NZZ last week, Avenir Sports' Doug Piper said that the business model of the National League does not work. Now, according to a report from Blick, they seem to want to abandon the Kloten Flyers.

With a deficit of seven to nine million francs this season, the owners of the Kloten Flyers do not see a way to lead the club out of the red in the near future. An analysis of the situation has shown that a debt-free operation is only possible in the National League B.

Still according to Blick, the owners only see the following possibilities for the Kloten Flyers: selling the club, a new patron to take over, selling players, a voluntary relegation to the National League B, or the relocation of the club to another city in Switzerland. (tme)
