With Wallson and Johansson, the Lions have hired two experts in youth development. In the past six years, their ex-club Skellefteå AIK, a club that sets its trust mainly in home grown talents, always made it to the playoff finals and won the Swedish championship twice in 2013 and 2014.
Lars Johansson, 45, took over as Skellefteå's General Manager in 2008 and led the club from Sweden's second-highest league, the Allsvenskan, to the top of the SHL. Hans Wallson, 49, was promoted to the head coaching position in 2013 and won the championship twice right away. (mso/rlu)
