Swiss League

NLA/NLB - According to Le Matin, there are more teams interested in adapting a farm team system - and thus get promoted to the NLB - than SC Herisau: Forward Morges and HC Biasca seem to work on similar projects.

Whereas Forward Morges is apparently already negotiating with Lausanne HC at the moment, HC Biasca is interested in a partnership with either HC Lugano or HC Ambrì-Piotta. Of course, if they can find an agreement with one of the teams, they will have to get the permission of the Regio League teams in order to get promoted to the NLB without winning the first league Championship title. Furthermore, they need to convince the SIHF that they can indeed pull this off.

As for SC Herisau, CEO Markus Bachschmied has confirmed in an interview with the St. Galler Tagblatt that there have been concrete negotiations with the Rapperswil-Jona Lakers for about three months. However, even if the new project would get accepted to the NLB, SC Herisau would still have a second league team as well as their own junior section.
