NLB - After EHC Basel's bankruptcy last year, forward Cyrill Scherwey did not find a new team and stayed with EHC Basel-Kleinhüningen in the first league. Now, the 25-year-old is back in the National League B with EHC Olten.

As the Basellandschaftliche Zeitung reports, Cyrill Scherwey has already left EHC Basel-Kleinhüningen in direction of Olten. Both parties agreed on confidentiality regarding the contract duration, but all signs point to a contract for the remainder of the season.

"We regret Cyrill's departure," EHC Basel-Kleinhüningen's president Hans-Peter Gerber says. "But of course we didn't want to stand in his way." Scherwey has an experience of 253 NLB-games in which he scored 20 goals and added 48 assists for 68 points. (tme)
