MEDICAL REPORT - SC Bern did not only lose their Champions Hockey League opener (0-7 vs Oceláři Třinec) but also one of their players as defenseman Geoff Kinrade left the game injured in the third period.
The Canadian was the victim of a check against the head by Aron Chmielewski, for which the Třinec player was assessed a game misconduct penalty by the referees.
Kinrade did not return to play afterwards and it is unknown if he has to miss any games or whether it was just a precautionary measure.
