Goran Bezina recovering from injury - will not participate in Worlds

The 34-year-old defenseman played through his injury in the playoff series against the ZSC Lions. This decision will now keep him off the ice in Minsk, as he tells the Tribune de Genève: "I unfortunately had to decline the invitation. I have an internal ligament sprain in one knee and a crack in my shin. I could go and play through the pain, but considering my age that would not be reasonable."

Goran Bezina has to stay inactive for about four to six weeks, before he is allowed to train again.
