Medical Report

MEDICAL REPORT - As sport-fan.ch reports, HC Thurgau's forward Toms Andersons took a skate to his face in this morning's trainings session.

The 20-year-old forward sustained this injury during a duel with a teammate. Anderson was hit by the blade of his teammate between his eye and the ear. He lost a lot of blood and had to be rushed to the hospital in Münsterlingen.

According to team Captain Patrick Bloch, it was a freak accident: "Both players were involved in a normal duel, but then they somehow fell on top of each other. The skate hit Toms unfortunately in the face."

As HC Thurgau informs, Andersons has had a lot of luck. The gash was sewn and he only suffered a minor concussion, which is why he has to spent the night in hospital care. If there are no further complications, the Latvian-Swiss dual citizen can leave the hospital tomorrow morning
