After overcoming cancer - Patrick Obrist to make his comeback

EHC Olten had some good news to announce today. Captain Patrick Obrist will make his comeback this weekend in the home game against the GCK Lions after overcoming lymph node cancer, discovered during a routine examination last summer. In mid-November 2025, EHCO announced that Obrist had won his battle with cancer. 

Obrist has been playing for EHC Olten since October 2024 and has a contract until 2028. Before joining the Powermäuse, the Austrian, who has a Swiss playing license, played for EHC Kloten from 2015 to 2024.
