Broken jaw - GSHC's Roger Karrer in the infirmary for six weeks

Until after the international break in November, Genève-Servette HC will have to make do without their current captain. Yesterday, Roger Karrer was hit directly to the chin by a deflected puck and fractured his jaw.

In addition to Roger Karrer, Noah Rod, Christophe Cavalleri, and Gauthier Descloux, all of whom will be absent for an extended period, Sami Vatanen and Marc-Antoine Pouliot are still missing. Their condition is being assessed on a day-to-day basis.

In three games so far, Karrer has yet to find his first point of the season. In September, the 27-year-old was promoted to captain of the Grenats until Noah Rod returned from his injury.
