Medical Report

MEDICAL REPORT - After leaving the ice with a knee-injury in yesterday's game against the Anaheim Ducks, Damien Brunner will be sidelined for at least four weeks.

It happened with 2:52 to play in the first period between the New Jersey Devils and the Anaheim Ducks when Mark Fistric hit Damien Brunner into the boards. Brunner, who took the hit to his right knee, went down immediately and had to be helped off the ice and headed to the dressing room.

However, as first examinations have shown, Brunner won't have to undergo surgery. "He'll be out a minimum of four weeks," Devils GM Lou Lamoriello said.
