EHC Kloten's Deniss Smirnovs returned to the lineup yesterday

The forward has finally recovered from a severe injury sustained during the pre-season.

Yesterday evening, EHC Kloten lost the game against EHC Biel but at least they were able to see the debut of Deniss Smirnovs with their jersey. The 24-year-old Latvian forward, who moved to Kloten from Geneva last summer, suffered an ankle-joint fracture during a pre-season game and had yet to suit up with his new team in an official game.
