The Mice will play their first preseason game tonight, facing partner team Hockey Huttwil. They will, however, have to do so without the 27-year-old defenseman.

Janis Elsener is dealing with a minor injury and will not be able to hit the ice tonight. On the other hand, Guillaume Asselin, Jeffrey Meier, and Mark Sever are set to play their first game with the Swiss League team.
In other news, EHC Olten had to cancel one of their preseason games. The game against EHC Freiburg on August 16 will not take place and will also not be replaced.
