HC Fribourg-Gottéron without Alain Birbaum for three weeks

Birbaum sustained the injury on December 10 against HC Davos. The defenseman did still play in Gottéron's two games last weekend but an MRI has now shown that the 28-year old has suffered a tear of an abdominal muscle and therefore has to stay out of the line-up for the upcoming three weeks.
