According to "Le Nouvelliste", the 22-year-old defenseman will undergo surgery in the next few days.
Sacha Berthoud, who has recorded one goal in ten games for Sierre, suffered an upper-body injury and is expected to be out of HC Sierre's lineup for five to six months. He will thus not play again this season.
There are, however, also some good news: Eric Castonguay should be available to Sierre's coaching staff again in a couple of days.
