The 22-year-old forward was injured in the first period of the game between HC Davos and HC Fribourg-Gottéron.
Simon Knak twisted his knee in a duel with Raphael Diaz and was subsequently unable to continue to play. Knak was brought to the hospital for further evaluation.
The forward, who turned 22 yesterday, has recorded five goals and seven assists in 35 games.
